Meet the Dynamite Bananas, the creators of Forgotten Sky.
To contact the team, please direct questions and comments to
Richard Hough at rrh53@cornell.edu and he will get back to you.
Richard Hough
Team Leader and Programmer
Richard Hough is a Ph.D. student in computer engineering who came from Washington University in St. Louis. While Forgotten Sky is his first full game release, it is not the only game he has worked on - for the past two years he's also been a developer for Intelligent Design, a FPS/RTS hybrid mod for Half-Life 2. He's currently considering leaving Cornell to become a game programmer. In his spare time he plays Racquetball, makes fun of people who read YCS, reads YCS, and sleeps. When he finally finds his TARDIS again he plans to move to New Earth and find a job on the Motorway.
Donald Holden
Lead Programmer
Don began his undergraduate years at Cornell wanting to study biological and mechanical engineering, to gain the knowledge and skills he needed to build his cyborg army to achieve his dream of world domination. Having realized the impracticality of his plans, he switched to the computer science major and began using his skills toward developing games, such as the GDIAC hit, Restless Moon 2. Don has interned with Valve Software (twice!) working on the source lighting tool, a brilliantly crafted piece of software called vrad, which ran with his code on all the maps shipped with the Orange Box. As a competitive Taekwondo sparring athlete, Don does a lot of fighting, and can probably kick your ass, so watch out. He enjoys puppies, sunsets, and long walks on the beach. If he penetrates the world by 3 pixels or more, he will explode into gibs and die!
Matt Oliveri
Programmer
Weird quiet kid who's only interested in computers. Only talk to him about computers or he will get annoyed. Raised on a Mac. Only uses Windows as a matter of necessity. Hates Microsoft. Plays games and reads about computer technology on his spare time. Has 2 computers that run linux. (1 and 2 halves: one suffered a hard drive crash and has not been fixed, the other has linux on it, but never boots it) Wants to take over the world by inventing a kick-ass new computer platform.
Nick Maxwell
Programmer
From the mean streets of Olympia, Washington, Nick brings a little West Coast style to the Dynamite Banannas. Nick grew up on the games of the original Nintendo system and has progressed through the Sega Genesis, PlayStation, and Playstation 2 consoles. Nick's favorite games are Super Mario Brothers 3, Sonic the Hedgehog, and any Madden or NCAA football game, all classics. While living the hard core life of a computer science nerd, Nick is also an active member of the Cornell Varsity Football team, going into his third year as the starting punter. With this said, Go Big Red and go Dynamite Bananas! We're freaking amazing!
Mike Sutjipto
Lead Musician
Mike is a generally unfocused person who doesn't know what to do with himself or his life. As musician for Forgotten Sky, his formal music training is questionable at best. He has played guitar for 10 years and drums for slightly less than that amount. He was formally trained in music/guitar for about 1 year, after which he "got the hell out of there." However, he listens to a lot of music, knows what he likes and what he doesn't, and, most importantly, can crank out a decent tune every now and then. Mike is currently a Computer Science undergrad at Cornell, however he looks forward to a graduate career studying Architecture at Virginia Tech. The latter is his latest (and hopefully final) attempt in figuring out what to do with his life, which will hopefully involve saving the world. Or at least a small nation.
Tina Chou
Lead Artist
Tina, alias Tina C, prefers taking pictures and messing around with video in her spare time. She is majoring in Information Science, the major of the future, and has limited drawing skills. During the course of the game she discovered a new talent: making levels easier. Hailing from the distant state of New Jersey, Tina is the youngest member of the Dynamite Bananas as well as the webmaster. She also has dreams of world domination. But who doesn't?
